NATIONAL Rugby League clubs are thirsty for alcohol advertising, according to a new report.

The report by the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE), a not-for-profit organisation, found 15 of the 16 NRL clubs accept money from the alcohol industry.

"All but one of the 16 NRL clubs have a range of deals with alcohol companies and get paid to promote various alcohol brands to fans," Ms Hepworth said.
"The worst ranked team was the North Queensland Cowboys with four major and one minor alcohol advertising deal, followed by New Zealand Warriors, Brisbane Broncos, Canberra Raiders and Wests Tigers."
Melbourne Storm, according to the study, was the only NRL club free of alcohol advertising.
