It has been many decades since a full staff reunion has been held and many ex-employees from as far back as 60 years ago are expected to be returning for the gathering.
The response so far has been excellent and it is hoped the reunion will bring together many locals and former locals who have not seen each other in many years.
The reunion will be held at the Hart Bar of the Railway Hotel, starting at around 2pm, with a cost of $20 per head.
Some ex-staff are arriving early and plan to enjoy a game of golf on Friday and this is also an option for anyone wishing to join in.
On the Saturday morning, a tour of the Champion Post office will take place and current staff will show visitors how the paper is presently put together.
It is certainly a far cry from the days of hot metal which existed when many of them started at the newspaper.
There are many present locals who have worked at the Champion Post at some stage over the past 60 years and they are encouraged to come along.
People wishing to attend the reunion should get in touch with Brenda Davies (0431 856 581) or Roel ten Cate (0488 721 950) before April 27.
