PSSA Tennis - Well done Parkes Public on defeating Parkes East in the opening round of the NSW Victor Kelly Trophy. Faith Clarke, Ella McColl, Flynn Thompson and Tyson Lennox proved too consistent for Grace Dunford, Laura Burkitt, Will Rix and Henry Kross, six sets to two. Parkes Public now play Forbes Public this Thursday in Round 2.

NSW 12s State Teams - Gabe Goodrick represented Central West at the NSW State teams championships on the weekend at Bathurst. The competition was fierce included Ashton McLeod who currently site at No.6 in Australia for 11 year olds, the Central West Team were outplayed all weekend and finished playing off for 11th and 12th. Gabe will be working hard at his training to be more competitive at the higher level tournaments.
Canberra Junior Tour Event - Abbey Kennedy travelled to Canberra over the weekend to compete in the Canberra Junior Open. Abbey has jumped up to the 16s Age division now and found the going tough in a competitive field. Abbey lost in the quarters of the singles to the number two seed and lost in the same round of the doubles partnering a girl from Hobart to the number four seeds in a super tiebreak.
NSW Pizzey Cup Trials - Jake Magill is in Bathurst now trialling for the NSW High School Team. Jake is up to the final 32 players today and giving it his best shot against a high class field from through NSW public, catholic and private schools.
