Parents need to be given a wrap as they have been doing a good job rescheduling matches when their children have been unwell or away on a school excursion to make the comp run as smoothly as possible.
RED DIV-
Thanks to Angus Jones for filling in last week when Adam Smede was unable to play.
Angus seemed to enjoy his first taste of comp tennis and hopefully will join the comp next term.
Charlie Rix is making some super improvement and showing excellent racquet control.
So many of the youngsters want to hit the cover off the ball but Charlie understands the benefits of being consistent and keeping the ball in play so well done Charlie.
Cooper Jones is also improving each week and rallied well to score a singles win.
Jono Wilkinson and Daisy Rice had a super singles match last week and learning about strategy and direction.
Rory Fisher displayed some nice control in his match with Anna Orr and Anna definitely deserves the 'best scorer' award as she is always focused and concentrating hard.
ORANGE DIV-
Declan Quade and Sam Westcott are combining well and learning about position around the net on the Orange court.
They scored a 10/3 win over Sienna Hunt and Charlotte Wilson last week.
Riley Jones and Knox Lamont had a rippa week when they scored 3/3 wins in both singles and doubles against Elena Glastonbury and Anna Davis.
Patrick McPherson and Mitchell Boggs continue to be the front runners in the Orange division and were too consistent for Jordy Mann and Adi Terry last week.
Close match in GREEN DIV-
A close match ensued on the lower courts when Henry Rice and Nate Harrison played Mitch Wirth and Jack Greenland.
Mitch and jack won the doubles but Henry and Nate turned the tables in the singles and took a 11/7 win.
The match of the round in the Green Div last week was between Ruby Wilson and Anabelle vanWyk taking on Tom Rix and Jacques vanWyk.
A very brave Mrs vanWyk sat courtside hoping for 3 draws across the 3 matches to keep the household happy but it wasn't to be.
The doubles started well finishing in a 3 all draw.
Older sister Anabelle won the sibling rivalry scoring a very hard fought 3/2 win over little brother Jacques but it was Tom who proved the difference with his competitive nature coming to the fore and making life super hard for Ruby who never gives up but was out of options against Tom and he won all 5 games played giving he and Jacques a 10/6 victory.
Poppy Fisher and Lucy Hall won on a forfeit from Victoria and Patrick Simpson while Ashley and Hannah Terry fought hard against Zavier Jones and Kalvin Dargin. Ash and Hannah are continuing to improve as are Zavier and Kalvin.
It was the boys who just scored a win last week but Hannah was overjoyed as she won her singles match against Kalvin.
YELLOW DIV-
Great to see Harry Bligh filling in for Lachie Unger last week and doing a super job.
Hopefully Harry enjoyed the experience enough to sign up next term as he is more than capable.
Harry played with Ethan and they had to give their best efforts to overcome the dynamic Western duo Faith Clarke and Tia Dunn.
The sets went 6/4, 6/5, 6/5 all in favour of the boys.
Will Rix was in possession of his new racquet and this gave him all the confidence he needed when he played Harry Simpson.
Will won their singles set 6/3. Nick then had a win over Coen Glastonbury and the Parkes East boys went on to win the doubles and take the match 3 sets to 0.
The final match saw Xander Macgregor and Sam Rivett score a 3 set win over a gallant Ella McColl and Jessica Towns.
The girls are playing well but the boys had their measure last week 6/2, 6/4 and 6/3 in the doubles.
NIGHT COMP-
Great to see Rem Henry make a return to comp tennis.
Rem was a sub for Arana Discoteca last week and took on Full Metal Racquet in which surprisingly Mark Ritchie turned up to fill in.
These two super competitive players squared off in their singles set and although Rem hasn't picked up a racquet for quite a few years his foundation of technique came to the fore and he won the set 6/3 and guided the A.D team to a 4 sets to 2 win.
Dreamteam were too consistent for Deuce Bags 5 sets to 1 while Smashes team defeated The Questionables 3 sets all and on a 27/24 game countback.
Bogan Gate Bandits were too solid for Arndell's Aces 5 sets to 1 while the young guns Alley-Gaters were out smarted by their more experienced opponents Wasted Potential 5 sets to 1.
The Dirty Daws took a 4 set to 2 win against Mrs Brown's Tennis Boys and in the final match of the round Top Shelf battled hard to defeat Wise Aces 4 sets to 2.
