The project will, from March 12 until March 18, progress along Victoria Street between Albert and Bogan streets, weather permitting.
Parkes Shire Council issued a construction and road closure update on Sunday to alert residents of the latest activity.
The works will be undertaken between 7am and 6pm and residents will be able to access their properties during these times.
Traffic control will be in place during the course of the works.
Council is also urging motorists, parents and carers to be extra vigilant when travelling to schools while road conditions are changed.

The first sod turn to mark the beginning of construction of the new main took place in November and by mid-February half of the purple pipes had been laid.
Construction began in Akuna Road, heading towards Nash Street, past Harrison Park before pipes were laid in Eugowra Road and Russell Street/Renshaw McGirr Way.
The network turned down Reid Street, past Armstrong Park and onto Memorial Hill and between Spicer, Pioneer and Northparkes ovals.
Now the work will proceed down Victoria Street to Phillip Street and pipe will later pass Woodward Oval onto Armstrong Street, before turning down Grenfell Street to Keast Park.
