The accolades for Parkes didn't stop there either, with nine CAT Awards Commendations also announced on the night.
The CAT Awards acknowledged those who had made a special contribution to theatre and to the community over the last year and the Parkes M&D was among them.
Parkes M&D was recognised for its strong community engagement in attracting community support and council funding.
The CAT Awards have been part of the theatre, dance and musical scene in Canberra and the surrounding districts since 1994.
They provide recognition for the enormous contribution made by non-professional groups to the artistic life of Australia, in particular in Canberra and the region, and they encourage individuals in the performing arts.
