The scores in the game were: Dubbo Blue 10/75 in 25.2 overs (Matthew Knight 24, Alex Maas 8, Cooper Townsend 7, Thomas Crystell 6, Harry Jones 3/11 off 6 overs, Tristan Ross 1/12 off 4 overs, Flynn Thompson 1/3 off 2 overs, Aiden Rayner 1/5 off 2 overs, Sam Rayner 1/4 off 1 over, Jack Milne 2/6 off 2.2 overs) lost to Parkes 1/76 in 22.3 overs ( Ewan Moody 24 no, Harry Jones 41 no, Jack Milne 5, Angus Excell 1/18 off 3 overs).
Parkes won by nine wickets.
Following this most convincing victory Parkes as the first team placed team in the Northern Division of Lachlan Cricket Council will now play Young (the second placed team in the Southern Division of L.C.C) in Parkes on Sunday, February 24 in Semi Final No 1.
Semi Final No 2 to be played on the same day will see Forbes host Dubbo White at Forbes.
The Finals of The L.C.C. under 12 and under 14 competition will be played on Sunday, March 3.
Dubbo Blue under 12s batted first at picturesque Spicer Park on a well-prepared turf wicket.
The Dubbo Blues lost wickets at regular intervals throughout their innings with only Matthew Knight (24 off 33 balls) managing to score in double figures.
The Parkes bowlers adopted a consistent line and length policy to frustrate the Dubbo Blues batting line up.
Good support by the Parkes players in the field saw some smart catches taken with Aidan Rayner (2), Ewan Moody and Jake Dunn all doing well.
Harry Jones (3/11 off six overs) Jack Milne (2/6 off 2.2 overs) and Tristan Ross (2/12 off four overs) were all multiple wicket takers while Flynn Thompson, Aiden and Sam Rayner all chimed in to take one wicket apiece.
Jack Milne and Ewan Moody both carried out the wicket keeping duties in good style with only five byes being recorded.
Parkes coach Shane Jones was delighted by the full team effort to dismiss Dubbo Blue in less than their allocated 32 overs.
In reply Parkes received a solid start by openers Jack Milne and Ewan Moody before Jack top edged a catch to see Parkes at 1/13.
From here on Ewan Moody (24 no of 55 balls) and Harry Jones (41 no off 63 balls) both batted with commendable skill and concentration to add an undefeated 63 runs for the second wicket to steer Parkes to a big win.
Harry Jones played some powerful cut shots to demonstrate that he is a most promising player while Ewan Moody continues to show good improvement.
The Parkes Team will need to be at their best to defeat a much-improved Young under 12 team in the Semi Final next Sunday.
Meanwhile in the Lachlan under 14s the semi finals will feature Dubbo Blue versus Forbes at Dubbo. West Wyalong/Condobolin versus Dubbo White at West Wyalong on Sunday, February 24.
