Cancer Council’s Orange NSW Community Relations Coordinator Brendon Argyle is on a mission to get as many Parkes people involved as possible.
The team information night is on Tuesday at the Parkes Services Club at 6pm.
But anyone interested in joining the biennial event is more than welcome to attend.
“It’s the atmosphere that makes a relay what it is,” Brendon said.
“If you have friends or family who aren’t yet registered, please encourage them to get involved and register on our website.
“We use the registration numbers on the website to help plan logistics, like how many toilets we need and how much catering is required.”
Brendon said they’re looking to register another 70-100 people for this year’s event.
He also said teams already registered will also be able to collect their team t-shirts on Tuesday night.
The Parkes Relay for Life will be held at the new venue of Pioneer Oval on Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24.
“We are so excited to be this close to this year’s event,” Brendon said.
“It’s time to start getting excited and get other people excited too.
“If you have anyone that’s wondering what it’s all about and wanting more information, feel free to contact me, or even better, invite them over to the Services on Tuesday night.
“It’s election day so there won’t be anything on TV!” He laughed.
