A 31-year-old Parkes man has been charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition after an early morning house fire led to a search warrant being executed at the property.

Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW and Police were called to a residential premises in East Street around 7.30am on Thursday.
On arrival crews found a fire had been burning in a front room of the premises, but had been put out by one of the occupants.
The cause of the fire is not known but not believed to be suspicious.
The three male occupants escaped without injury and the premises suffered mostly smoke damage.
During a routine inspection of the property Police located an amount of ammunition.
As a result, a 31-year-old male occupant was arrested and taken to Parkes Police Station.
Police later applied for and executed a search warrant.
During the course of the search warrant Police will allege they located further ammunition, an amount of prohibited drugs and a motorbike.
Police investigations are continuing in relation to the prohibited drugs and motorbike.
