Representative Cricket
Parkes under 12s played in Dubbo on Sunday, February 10.
Parkes under 12s, minus a good number of key team member, travelled to Dubbo on Sunday, February 10 to play Dubbo White at Lady Cutler south synthetic wicket ground.
Many thanks to those Parkes/Peak Hill players who filled in to replace the unavailable players at late notice.
Parkes coach Shane Jones was pleased with the team effort put in by his team that went down to Dubbo White by 53 runs.
The scores were –
Dubbo White 10/158 off 32 overs (C. Giddings 77 n.o, A. Hunt 20, K. Green 13, Flynn Thompson 3/23 off seven overs, Harry Jones 2/18 off seven overs, Triston Ross 1/20 off four overs) defeated Parkes 8/105 in 32 overs (Harry Jones 36, Harry Kennedy 12, Flynn Thompson 10, A. Slacksmith 1/7 off three overs, N. Sutcliffe 2/16 off three overs, N. Bayliss 1/13 off three overs).
The highlight of this game was a fine innings by Dubbo player Cooper Giddings of 77 not out.
Dubbo lost three early wickets before Giddings played his match winning innings. Harry Jones and Flynn Thompson played fine all round games for Parkes.
Parkes are now scheduled to play Dubbo Blue at Spicer Oval in Parkes on Sunday, February 16.
The Parkes team for this game will be finalised at training during the week.
Parkes and District Junior Cricket Association
The Parkes District Cricket Association operates in the Central West of NSW.
It runs an A and B grade comp both in one day format T20 in the day and night.
