EPISODE TWO: Parkes Spacemen
It’s been six years since Parkes has won a Group 11 first grade title but with a new coach, some returning faces and a fresh approach the Spacies believe they can push for the big one in 2019.
New mentor Brent Wood, alongside halves Chad Porter and Joey Dwyer, feature on this week’s Get ‘Em Onside Podcast.
Wood, who played with the Spacemen in the late ‘00s and had a brief stint with Group 10 club St Pat’s, says defence is the key to his side rocketing back into premiership contention.
A relaxed figure, Wood says he’ll sweat it out with the team.
“I’ll get down and train with the boys. We’ve got standards and we’ve got to meet them,” Wood said.
