During our golf results every week we progress down to the fabulous Bunny Award which goes to the worst score on the day.
We found the Culprit holding one of her Bunny Creations on Monday celebrating her 80th Birthday.
Lorraine Heald has tirelessly made these bunny Awards for our Club over that many years that even she cannot remember.
Sunday, January 13 the Parkes Services Social Golfers played a Stableford Event with Trophies and Raffle supplied by the Club.
Logging has finally caught up with Brian Hogan winning with 41 points from Dale Stait & Matt Wright.
A standing Ovation was in order when Captain Chop cut six shots off his Handicap.
Ladies Nearest the Pin Winners were Margaret Hogan on fourth and Sue Smith on 11th.
Men's Nearest the Pin Winners were Lefty Wright on first which also won the Jackpot of six balls, fourth went to Phil Smith, 11th Lefty Wright and Ray Cabban winning the 15th.
Lucky Card Draw and the Cuddly Bunny Award went to Sue Smith.
Raffle Winner was Ray Cabban with Golf Balls going to Dale Stait, Kap and Lefty Wright.
Next Week we play a Team Event for Club Trophies $ Raffle.

Women’s Bowling
Our social bowls were cancelled Tuesday due to the extreme weather conditions although a couple of ladies had a fun game of Consistency.
Some excellent bowls were put down with one of our newer members displaying some shots that could put her in the running for player of the year!
Don’t forget trading table and shared lunch next week January 22, if weather conditions remain extreme we will still hold our social activities commencing at 12 pm, come along and have some fun in the cool of the Bowlo, six January birthdays to celebrate.
Reminder that nominations are open for Club Championship Singles so put your name on board.

Bridge
Happy New Year everyone and happy bridging. We recommenced play for 2019 on Thursday, January 10 with a seven table game at the Aastro Motel.
Our usual venue had been taken over by the Elvis Festival performers.
It was a Howell movement as we needed only one winning pair to win the $100 prize donated by the motel manager (thanks Valerie) Keith Fiedler and Greig Ball topped with 61.67 per cent.
Second were Rosemary Morris and Beryl Twardy 59.17 followed by Dawn Phipps and Vicky Burke 54.58, Helen McQuie and Jill Peterson 51.67 and Jenny Freeman and Anne Berkeley 51.25.
A lovely afternoon tea was provided by the motel folk.
A Mitchell game was played on Monday January 14 and the north south winners were Gary Somers and Greig Ball 67 per cent.
Second were Rosemary and Steve Morris 54.5 and third Warren and Nancye Blatch 48 per cent.
For east west Beryl Twardy and Tim Baker topped with a great 71.5.
Second Dawn Phipps and Jennifer Calvert 53 and third Ingrid Stephenson and Helen McQuie 43.5.
Tuesday, January 15 winners were Keith Fiedler and Joan Reilly 58.33, Laurie Keane and Jenny Freeman 54.17, Dawn Phipps and Jan Freeman 52.98, Marlene Freeman and Beth Symington 51.19.

Parkes SSAA Sporting Clays
At last months shoot 11 shooters attend the Deep Lead range. They shot in a 80 target day with two events.
Event One: Sixty targets known rise using six auto clay throwers. Brian Drabsch and Brett Dean 57 each, Bryan Rickaby and Bernie Cusack 54 each, Les Quirk 52, David Wilson and Clinton Duffy 51, David Tanks and Peter Barber 43, Jeff Charlton 40, Dan Morgan 36.
Event Two: Twenty twin rise with one outwards and one inward at the same time. Brian Drabsch and David Tanks 19, David Wilson, Dan Morgan and Les Quirk 18, Bryan Rickaby and Bernie Cusack 16, Brett Dean 17, Clinton Duffy 15, Peter Barber 14, Jeff Charlton 5. Our next shoot is at 1pm Saturday, January 19 and will be similar to the above.

Due to the extreme heat and lack of shooters we cancelled the afternoon shoot.
This is the second time in our nearly 20 years of operation.
The other one was through heavy rain and cold. The next shoot is at 10am Sunday, January 20.
