A VERY early start was not a deterrent for the Parkes Boppers who were among hundreds of people in Cooke Park on Thursday for the Sunrise telecast.

The dedicated dancers are aged from six to 16 years old arrived at 6.30am and they took centre stage during a number of the crosses by weatherman Sam Mac.
Parkes Boppers organiser Maureen Massey said the girls really loved being part of the festival and the live broadcast.

“These are a group of kids get together at the end of November each year to do this,” she said.
During the festival the Parkes Boppers will perform on a number of stages, including at Parkes Leagues Club at 6.30pm on Thursday evening.
The group will perform downstairs and entry is free.
