Sponsor of the Festival's Street Parade, Northparkes Mines, has kindly donated a $1,000 cash prize for the Best Float in the 2019 parade.
School and community groups are eligible.

Festival Director, Cathy Treasure, said participants are urged to start building an Elvis-inspired float now,
"This prize, thanks to our sponsor Northparkes Mines, is a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors alike to get involved in the spirit of Parkes Elvis Festival and the ever-popular Street Parade."
"We are urging groups to think about a creative way to interpret our 2019 theme, All Shook Up. We're celebrating Elvis' iconic song and all things 50s", Ms Treasure added.
Northparkes Manager People, Safety & Environment, Stacey Kelly said, “Northparkes is pleased to continue our long association with the Parkes Elvis Festival and the Festival's Street Parade.
“What better way to showcase the creativity and passion of our region.”

The fabulous fifties – that’s the focus of next year’s Parkes Elvis Festival.
The theme is All Shook Up, celebrating Elvis' iconic song and all things '50s.
New to the program in 2019 will be a range of exciting workshops, including strumming your way through classics like Can’t Help Falling in Love at the ukulele workshops, and mini-Elvii can have all sorts of fun at the Kids Talent Workshops.
Mark Andrew returns to the festival with his Legends’ Show on the Friday, while Saturday will see a Tribute to Phil Emmanuel, who sadly passed away in May but whose rich history in Parkes had him honoured on the Elvis Wall of Fame.
