Parkes Fire and Rescue NSW crews and police officers received the emergency call at around 4.15am to the park between Woodward Street and the railway line with reports of a fire.
“One was a fire in a bin, while the other was in the grass along the creek bank,” a report by Newscwtv states.
“While both were small fires they had the potential to get out of control with the right conditions and if not extinguished fast.”
