Member for Orange, Phil Donato MP, this week announced $90,371 in funding for the five organisations to complete a variety of projects.
The funding is part of $326,309 of State Government funds Mr Donato announced for 20 projects in his Orange electorate from the NSW Government’s 2018 Community Building Partnership Program.
The Parkes Dragon Boat Club will receive $6500 to help deliver the sport to Parkes.
A new awning will be constructed at the Parkes Aero Club at a cost of $20,000 and heating and air conditioning replaced at the Parkes Golf Club clubhouse with a $15,285 grant.
The biggest grant, of $28,050, in Parkes Shire went to PCYC NSW for foyer renovations.
The Bogan Gate community will benefit from a $7000 grant presented to the golf club for a kitchen refurbishment and a $13,536 grant for the Community Memorial Hall which will go towards a partial roof replacement at the hall.
Mr Donato said the funding will allow local organisations to bring important projects to life.
“This is fantastic for the Orange electorate; this funding will directly help our community by enabling positive social, recreational and economic outcomes,” Mr Donato said.
“I congratulate all organisations that were successful in their application and look forward to seeing these projects come to fruition.
“These projects will make a real impact for community groups in our area, which creates benefits that flow to everyone.
“I am very proud to have put my support behind these projects,” Mr Donato said.
The Forbes Sport and Rec Club ($20,000) and Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre ($10.070) also received grants during Monday’s announcement.
