- Under 14s – Forbes KMWL versus Bernardis at Grinstead Oval, Forbes, Parkes Thunder versus Livestock at Spicer Oval, Parkes Sixers have the bye.
- Under 12s – Sportspower versus Hazell and Field at Botanical Gardens, Forbes, Adept Plumbing versus Scorchers at Stephan Field, Forbes, Renegades versus Walkers AgNvet at Keast 1.
- Under 10s – Morgans versus Clarkes at Holy Family School, Rossers versus Dunfords at Armstrong Park.
Arrangements for Wet Weather/ Changes of Venue
The Executive of Parkes Junior Cricket wishes to advise that if wet or inclement weather causes doubt about the playing of games or changes of venue that decisions are made at 6.45am on Saturday morning after Grounds Inspection Committee have checked the grounds.
Announcements are advised on the P.D.J.C.A. Facebook page and over Radio Station 2PK from 7am in relation to the playing of games and changes of venue. Forbes Junior Cricket Executive are advised of such at approximately 6.45am.
Representative Cricket – Lachlan versus Macquarie Valley at Dubbo on November 4
The following Parkes players participated in representative cricket matches at Dubbo on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
U16s – Harry Bayliss and Ryan Dunn
U14s – Ryan Dunford
U12s – Harry Jones, Harrison Kennedy, Jack Milne, Ewan Moody, Maddison Spence and Tristan Ross
Luke Mc Dean of Forbes also played in the Lachlan u16s team.
The Lachlan teams emerged victors in the u16 and the u14 games while Macquarie Valley won the u12 game.
In the u16 game Lachlan batted first to total 5/218 off their allocated 50 overs. Ben Schofield of Young led the way to top score with 70.
Ben had top support from Darcy Callaghan of Cowra with 40, Josh Roscarel of West Wylong with 33 and Harry Bayliss of Parkes with 30 no.
Macquarie Valley innings were not available at the time of going to press.
The u14 game was a thriller as Lachlan 9/114 scraped home to defeat Macquarie Valley 113. Best efforts came from Lachlan 9/114 in 42 overs (Daniel Smith 37, Harry Roscarel 14, Ryan Dunford 10, R. Peet 4/12 off nine overs) defeated Macquarie Valley 10/113 in 41.3 overs (A. Atlee 33, Corey Lucas 3/21 off 10 overs, Jaxon Greenaway 2/18 off eight overs, Alex Nowlan 2/5 off 3.3 overs, Harry Roscarel 1/4 off three overs).
The u12 game saw Lachlan bat first to a total of 5/132 off 40 overs with three players retiring – Jack Milne 57 retired, Archie Gay 21 retired and Blake Dillon 13 retired, Ewan Moody 12 no. and Cooper Pullen six no.
In reply the Macquarie Valley u12s batted very well to score 2/133 in 23.2 overs with Cooper Giddings 59 no. and A. Hunt 43 leading the way. Maddison Spence 1/15 off three overs was Lachlan’s leading bowler.
Next Sunday, November 11 Lachlan u16, u14 and u12 will play Mitchell Cricket Council at Cowra.
Newly Registered Parkes Players
The following u10 players registered on November 3 to be allocated to teams – Lockey Harbidge (Rossers) and Nate Strong (Clarkes).
P.D.J.C.A. Honorary Secretary Greg Morrissey will be on hand at Spicer Oval from 8am to 8.20am on Saturday, November 10 to assist with registration of any new players and to collect Registration fees/forms from any players/parents/carers who are yet to attend to this matter.
Registration fees are u17 - $100, u14 - $80, u12 - $60, u10 - $30. Family maximum of $200.
Woolworths Cricket Blast
Our Junior Blasters program began this week on Thursday 8/11/18 at Woodward Oval from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Aimed at young players in the five to nine years age group this program is a wonderful introduction to the game of cricket.
The program costs - $99 with all recipients receiving a hat, shirt, bat, ball and backpack.

P.D.J.C.A. Monthly Meeting
The November monthly meeting will be held upstairs at The Services Club on Monday November 12 at 7pm. Parents and carers of junior cricketers are invited to attend.
