Despite some much needed light showers throughout the morning the clouds eventually cleared to a fine day and the crowds of spectators continued to roll in to check out over 170 vehicles on display including cars of all sorts, motorbikes and trucks.
Vehicles on show came from as far away as Yarraman in Queensland, Victoria, Sydney, Wollongong and the Hunter Valley along with local cars from Parkes, Forbes, Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo and Narromine.
The CWCC donates all monies from the day to the Parkes branch of Can Assist and while the moneys are still being tallied, the club hopes to once again donate more than $10,000 thanks to the wonderful generosity of local businesses.
Some of the notable award winners on the day were Debbie Robinson from Orange with her Magenta coloured 1977 Chrysler Charger for Major Sponsors Choice, Jason Kennedy with his 1929 Ford Hotrod Coupe for Vehicle of Show and Aaron Bailey with his 2013 VF Holden Maloo ute for People's Choice.
Plans are already under way for next years event with Saturday October 19, 2019 earmarked.
