Trundle Branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary held a most successful Art Exhibition on Saturday, October 6. All artists involved were local people or had a local connection. Works depicted historic scenes right through to modern art including the delicate China Painting of Mrs Beth Turner, paintings by Mr Bruce Leonard, John Randall, Helen Gray, Dolly Wright, Mrs Mary Gowing and Mrs Helen Gault to name a few There were many historic photos on display which encompassed old school days, recreational activities, hard working horse teams and harvest scenes. Many local identities and founding district families were also represented through photographs and art.
Trundle Hospital Auxiliary members are most grateful to the help given prior to and on the day by many Trundle and District residents.
We would like to thank Mrs May Collier a founding member of the UHA for her drive to make this event happen, to the Trundle Men’s Shed, for their hands on help as well as Mrs Deidre Lennox and Mrs Helen Gray for their personal contribution to making our day such a financial success.
Our thanks goes to Trundle Central School for their contribution to the display and to the people of Trundle for their support. Mrs Robyn Whitson won the raffle, Sarah Hosie the lucky door prize and Mary Gowing the most popular artist. The Auxiliary made in excess of $2000 which will go towards much needed purchases for the Trundle MPS.

Robyn Whitson thoroughly enjoyed her visit to Leura last week to see her sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Kevin's new home.
Set amongst beautiful spring blossoms, masses of tulips, blue bells and many more varieties of flowers, it is very beautiful up there this time of year.
Leura is an amazing sight in Spring and the visit brought back many happy memories for her.
