Held at the Commercial Hotel, in an easy-going and informal atmosphere, this is the third event held this year.
Buy a drink, enjoy the talk and discussion, ask questions, and even stay on for dinner.
The Commercial’s kitchen will be open and ready to cater with the usual menu of delicious meals.
Meet our two speakers who will be talking about their life experiences under the topic, “My Spirituality – Influence on the Way”.
Get ready for some exciting, dramatic, emotional, and amazing stories from local Liesel Walters and Anne Dennis from Walgett.
Liesel is the local Aged Care Chaplain for BaptistCare Central West Home Services and Niola Centre.
She is also a Lay Minister in the Anglican Parish of Parkes, she loves living in Parkes and has been active in many other community areas including the Quota club.
Previous employment in agriculture, hospitality and the print media has given Liesel a broad range of understanding of community life providing wonderful insights into her current life of ministry.
Anne Dennis is the current Deputy Chairperson of the NSW Aboriginal Lands Council.
Through this role (and many others) Anne is committed to ensuring a better future for Aboriginal people, pursuing cultural, social and economic independence for Aboriginal people.
Anne is a proud Gamilaraay woman who has lived most of her life in Walgett.
She has a strong background in education both as a teacher and administrator.
Spirituality in the Pub is an initiative of Catalyst for Renewal Inc.
All are welcome - those who are “church shy”, those on the fringe, or within the mainstream of faith traditions, those with no religious affiliation at all, those who don’t believe.
Come along and see for yourself.
