Motorists around the district are being advised of changed traffic conditions from next Monday on the Iron Bridge at Forbes for stage one of essential bridge maintenance.

The changes will include reduced speed zones.
Drivers are advised to plan their trip and follow the direction of traffic control and all signs, including reduced speed limits.
A spokesperson for Roads and Maintenance said the work will involve truss cleaning and repairs, vegetation removal and trimming, repairs to the foot bridge and timber kerb replacement.
The first stage of maintenance work will be carried out on weekdays between 7am and 5pm from Monday, October 15, until February 2019, weather permitting.
Temporary traffic changes will continue from early November while work is completed on the bridge.
The second stage of maintenance work will start in March 2019, weather permitting, and will include bridge joint replacement, resurfacing of the bridge and installation of traffic signals to improve safety on the bridge.
Traffic will be diverted via the Iron Bridge while the Camp Street Bridge is being replaced.
