On Saturday, July 28 approximately 100 guests gathered at the Trundle Golf Club to help celebrate the 90th birthday of the ever-energetic and all-round party-girl, Janette Williams.
Friends and relatives travelled from near and far to enjoy a special High Tea with Janette and her families, and a delightful time was had by all.
Guests looked lovely in their Sunday-best, and the hats on display were very fancy.
Janette's younger sister Rene Capell, was there to honour Janette, with friends and family hailing from Sydney, Canberra, Singapore, Brisbane, Wollongong, Coffs Harbour, Orange, Bathurst, Tullibigeal, Parkes, Inverell, Forbes, Caloundra, Tullamore, Trundle and Central Coast.
One of Janette's best friends and cruise buddy, Jean Wills, turned 90 last year, and was also in attendance.
The sumptuous High Tea was beautifully catered by the Trundle Central School P&C, and the magnificent cake was created by Belinda Phillips of Trundle.
Several speeches were made by Janette's nice, CWA representatives, and of course, Janette herself.
A big thank you to the Golf Club for hosting the party.
Janette would like to thank all those who attended and made this day such a special day for her to remember- she had an absolute ball.
Many thanks to Helen Gray for reporting on this event for us.
