The business invited local farmers and the community for a fundraising morning tea on September 28.
Staff dressed in flannelette shirts, overalls and jeans to show their support, while guests enjoyed delicious treats and sandwiches, a cup of coffee and tea and sat back to listen to live music from Tianna Simpson.
The business also ran a raffle, that began in August, and this week announced the winner – that being Val Baker from the Southern Cross Care Aged Care Facility.
The chemist raised $5000 during September and Ron Dunford himself and his family have agreed to match that figure to help contribute to the cause.
“We want to remind people that we’re keeping all the money local and in surrounding towns of Trundle and Tullamore,” pharmacy manager Jenny Leeming said.
“We plan to let everyone know our final amount and exactly where all the money is going to.”
