The Holy Family Primary School’s boys and girls hockey teams have tasted some well-earned success during a cup tournament in Parkes recently.

The sides competed in the Rex Smith and Lois Jones Cups that were held at the Parkes Hockey Complex.
The Rex Smith Cup boys team played three games on the day and were victorious in every match.
Their results are as follows:
Holy Family defeated Parkes Public School 1-0 (Sam Rayner).
Holy Family defeated Parkes East Public School 2-1 (Sam Rayner, Aidan Rayner).
And Holy Family defeated Middleton Public School 8-0 (Kai Airey 1, Jayden Redfern 2, Zac Payseno 2, Mitchell Arndell 2, Cooper Huppatz 1).
By moving through the day undefeated, the side were crowned 2018 Champions.
The Lois Jones Cup girls side were also undefeated throughout the day.
Their results are as follows:
Holy Family defeated Parkes Public School 5-0 (Josie Jones 3, Izzy Miller 1, Isla Skinner 1).
Holy Family defeated Parkes East Public School 4-0 (Josie Jones 1, Isla Skinner 1, Izzy Miller 1, Grace Dwyer Mulligan 1).
And Holy Family drew with Middleton Public School 0-0.
The girls were named joint winners with Middleton Public at the end of the competition.
For both the girls and boys teams, every team member contributed to the success on the day and demonstrated wonderful sportsmanship in their matches.
