POLICE are calling on the public to help them find a missing 24-year-old Samuel Yarrow who was last seen near Cobar.

The alert was issued on Thursday evening by police who said Mr Yarrow was last seen on Wednesday while camping at the Meadow Glen Rest Area on the Barrier Highway at Cubba, which is located around 60 kllometres west of Cobar.
Officers from Central North Police District were notified on Thursday and they conducted a search of the area, however, were unable to locate Samuel.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to the remote terrain.
Mr Yarrow is Caucasian, about 165 centimetres, of medium build, with light ginger hair and beard.
He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue shorts with a white stripe, and beige jumper.
The search will resume on Friday.
