A second man charged with the 2017 murder of a man in Forbes was due to appear in Forbes Local Court on Wednesday morning.
William James Merritt did not apply for bail, and was formally refused, at Forbes court.
The 38-year-old did not appear before the court on the charge of murder.
Magistrate Philip Stewart said bail had not been applied for and was formally refused.
The matter was adjourned to Parkes Local Court on November 19, with the accused to appear via audio visual link on that date.

Police have charged a second man with murder after the death of a man in Forbes last year.
About 1.20am on Sunday 19 November 2017, emergency services were called to Weelong Place at Forbes, after a 31-year-old man was found with significant head injuries on the front lawn of a premises.
He was taken to Forbes Hospital, where he later died on Monday 20 November 2017.
Strike Force Heinrich was established by officers from the Central West Police District to investigate the incident.
About 2.10pm Tuesday, a 38-year-old man attended Forbes Police Station where he was arrested and charged with murder.
He was refused bail and will appear at Forbes Local Court on Wednesday.
