WESTERN CHS
Jake Magill, Ben Evans and Joseph Tanswell represented Western last week at the NSWCHS Open Boys State Carnival. Jake and Ben playing in the first and 4th places respectively were not overly happy with their performances during the 3 days. Jake has been out injured and this was his first event back for four months, while Ben has only played 2 competitive singles matches for the year thus far at the Parkes Junior Open last weekend, so was also short of match practice. Joseph meanwhile has been a regular on the Parkes tennis courts playing in the handicap junior division which has been competitive match play for him. The Western team finished a creditable 5th place overall.
