A fundraising morning tea for staff and volunteers was held at the Currajong Street headquarters as part of the nation-wide initiative.
Chairperson of Parkes Meals on Wheels Adrienne Bradley said the aim of Cuppa For A Cause was raising funds for the community-based service.
“Fundraising initiatives like Cuppa for a Cause go a long way in helping Meals on Wheels provide the best service we can for those who need it most,” she said.
Member for Orange Phil Donato called in for a cuppa and a cupcake to show his support.

Dinner date moved
The Meals on Wheels dinner auction to raise much needed funds for a cold storage vehicle that was scheduled for August 31 has been moved to Friday, October 12.
A great range of items will be up for auction on the night including: Golfers paradise for four in the Hunter Valley (two nights and three days midweek); Private discover sailing day package for eight on Sydney Harbour; Overnight cruise for two on Sydney Harbour ; Tesla roaster experience; Helicopter ride in the Hunter Valley for two; Ultimate Wine Lovers adventure for eight guests; Your own private resort in Hunter Valley for a long weekend ; Experience the true Majesty of the Hydro Majestic Hotel; Australia Moto GP (Melbourne) 2018 for two and an NRL grand final.
The dinner will include a two-course meal and mystery front door prize.
Cost is $35 per person and tickets are available for purchase from the Meals On Wheels office at 78 Clarinda Street, Parkes.
