The pair intend to dye their hair once they’ve reached a $1000 benchmark, the big reveal will be a surprise to all in attendance.
“We are looking forward to dying our hair to raise funds for Canteen,” Emeline said.
“We wish to help a charity that supports young teens when cancer comes crashing into their world.”
Gordon said with every donation over $1000, the community get to say which colour they would like to see them dye their hair.
“It’ll go into the draw and if pulled out, we’ll do it! Better yet, we won’t know until the reveal,” he said.
The Captains are holding the fun filled evening this Wednesday, September 26, at 6pm for a 6.30pm reveal.
“We have a lot planned,” Emeline said.
“We will have an auction for bandanas which are signed by famous Aussies including Shannon Noll and Allday, a sausage sizzle, plenty of stalls and best of all our hair reveal.”
“All funds will go towards Canteen. We hope to see you there!”
You can help the Parkes High School Student Representative Council support young people when cancer crashes their world by joining in the fun.
A Jumping castle, face painting, craft stalls, live music, food and drink, and much, much more will all be on offer this Wednesday night at the LP Johnson Hall at Parkes High School.
Tickets are $1 per person.
CanTeen helps young people cope with cancer in their family.
Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with their feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they’ve been diagnosed themselves, the organisation also provides specialist, youth-specific treatment teams.
