This was just the case for Leone Stevenson last Saturday after she finished in first place.
She scored 41 points, the only problem being Leone also sponsored the event and can not win her own award.
That opened the door Lesley Fisher, who also scored 41 points and only finished behind Leone via a countback.
Denise Charlton was next best on 38 points, followed by Kaye Jones on 37.
Next was Margaret Hogan and Ann Berkeley both with 36 points.
In last Wednesdays stableford, sponsored by Janice Cassidy, a countback was needed to decide the winner.
Cath Kelly finsihed on top with 39 points with Lesley Fisher finishing on the same score, but in second place.
Helen Clark was next in third place, scoring 38 points.
She was followed by Frankie Cock on 37 points.
Next were Sue Holman and Colleen Staples on 36 points, and Jenny Hoy on 35.
In the nearest the pins, Glynis Conroy was closest on the 1st hole.
She enjoyed a very good day on the short holes, also claiming the nearest the pin on the 6th hole as well.
Colleen Staples also had a solid day on the par three holes.
She finished closest on both the 4th and 15th holes.
Lois Godden hit a good tee shot to finish closest on the 11th hole.
Parkes lady golfers would like to thank Macquarie Alarms, Parkes Leagues Club, Dunford’s Pharmacy, Parkes Services Club, and Brian Collins Smash Repairs for sponsoring their Wednesday nearest the pins.
