Mini- League Tag: The Services Club and McPhersons Parts and Service Mini League Tag girls played a great flowing game of football against a strong Red Bend side last Saturday at Red Bend. Great tagging was made by all the girls with strong ball running from Sharla Parker-Lee, Leah Haywood, Zahlee Terrill, Charli Milne, Izabella Terrill and Corby Fliedner. Tries were scored by Zahlee Terrill and Charli Milne and successful conversions to Corby (1) and Izabella (1) with 2 each and Leah scoring 3
Junior League Tag: The Services Club and McPhersons Parts and Service sponsored Mod League Tag girls played a great game against Red Bend coming away with a convincing win. Strong runs were made by Chelsea Skinner, Jade Coulson, Essie Mitchell, Leah Hayward and the Terrill sisters, Jaz and Bella. Great tagging took place from the MacGregor sisters, Elizabeth and Grace along with Nell Smith and Grace Milne. Try scorers were Jazmen Terrill (2) and Elizabeth and Grace MacGregor (2 each) and Nell smith bagging 3. Conversions were successful from nell Smith and Grace Milne bringing the score Parkes 40 – Red Bend 4.
Under 10s: Andrew Thomas Builder under 10s went down to Red Bend on Saturday but not without a fight. Tries were scored by Lachie Thomas (2), Rhys Thompson and Jaylin Moran. Conversions were successful by Lachie Thomas, Rhys Thompson, Kade Ticehurst and Jaylin Moran. Although the boys lost, there was only one try difference in the score, Parkes 24 – Red Bend 30.
Under 12s: K & H Earthmoving under 12s had a good win on Saturday against Red Bend 20 -14. This win was a great confidence booster for the boys as Red Bend are running second in the comp. Tries were scored by Jack Milne (2), Joe Monk (1) and Oliver Thomas (1). Conversions were successful by Marley Moran and Dean Robinson.
Senior League Tag: Bob skinner Painting and Decorating sponsored Senior League Tag girls had a good win on Saturday against Red Bend. Parkes scored five tries and successfully converted three times. Tries were scored by Jorja Simpson (2), Ashleigh Ward (1) and Daisy Burns(2). Rebekka Choyce owned the conversions. Finally score Parkes 26 – Red Bend 14.
Under 14s: Sportspower under 14s faced another strong team on Saturday playing Red Bend on their home ground. Parkes were pleased to break Red Bend defence with tries being scored by Bayden Moran and Toby Miller unfortunately no conversions were successful. Red Bend side broke through the Parkes defence more times than the boys liked with successful conversions bringing the score to Red Bend 46 – Parkes 8.
Under 16s: Brian Collins Smash repairs under 16’s had a loss on the weekend to Red Bend 24 – 22. Parkes play at Canowindra this Saturday in the final round for the season. Wins this weekend are critical for some teams to hold their places on the ladder and progress to the finals.
