A number of Forbes and districts groups have received a boost following the announcement of the latest round of recipients in CMOC-Northparkes Mines (Northparkes) Community Investment Program.

Northparkes runs its Community Investment Program twice a year, with $40,000 donated each round, and at the discretion of an independent committee.
In the latest round of funding, 15 initiatives from across Forbes, Bedgerebong, Bogan Gate, Peak Hill, and Parkes received support.
Parkes groups to benefit from the funding include the Parkes Red Cross, Northparkes Charity Golf Day, Paint Parkes REaD, Parkes Boppers Dance Troupe, Parkes Christian School, Parkes Dragon Boat Club
Forbes Swimming Club, Forbes Country Music Club and Forbes High School, tThe Bedgerebong Show, Bogan Gate CWA, Bedgerebong War Memorial Union Church, Mitchell Conservatorium and Peak Hill Show Society were also grant recipients.
Northparkes Managing Director Jim Fowler said, “there was a number of strong applications this round, which was great to see”.
“We are proud to be able to support such a wide range of programs supporting health, education, music, culture and sport.
“I congratulate the successful applicants and thank everyone who took the time to apply for the program.
“It was very challenging for our committee to select funding recipients from so many high quality initiatives,” he said.
