While CYMS has the minor premiership all but won, the battle for the top three and the fight for fifth is still firmly in the balance.
The Parkes Spacemen boosted their chances of a place in the top three, and a place in the qualifying final, when scoring a tough win at Nyngan’s Larkin Oval on Sunday.
The Tigers have enjoyed a resurgence in recent weeks and the trip to Larkin Oval is one of the most difficult in the competition but the Spacemen returned home with the points after a 46-32 victory.
That has the Spacemen in third, two points below Wellington and two above the Forbes Magpies, who suffered a shock loss at Narromine on Saturday.
Nyngan and Macquarie are both locked on seven points, five behind Forbes.
The Tigers and Raiders play at Dubbo next round.
