The rare night fixture against the Panthers is a chance for both teams to test their game in different conditions.
Giants will be favourites for the contest given their position inside the competition’s top four but the team will be expecting a fired up Panthers squad.
Visiting coach Mark Kennedy said his Giants are eager to test themselves in the night time battle.
“Being a night game it’s a bit different for the guys. It’s a lot different playing a game under lights compared to training under lights,” he said.
“The lights we have at George Park aren’t the best but they’ve got a good set of lights over at Parkes.
“It’s different because you’ve got to read the football coming out of the lights.”
There’s an air of determination among the Giants camp following a brutal loss to competition leaders Orange Tigers a fortnight ago.
Giants were 125 to 69 winners over Parkes way back in round one but Kennedy expects a more motivated Panthers team on Parkes turf.
“I don’t take anything for granted, and all these teams seem to be stronger at home compared to when they travel,” he said.
“It’s quite a tough run for us. We play Parkes twice and Dubbo once away from home. Dubbo can really come home and bite you at home if you take them for granted.
“Parkes can be similar. I think they’ve got all their players back and ready to go. No-one will want to lose any of these games towards the end of the season.”
All these teams seem to be stronger at home compared to when they travel.

Five of the Giants last seven regular season matches will be away from home.
The match gets underway from the special time of 6.45pm at NorthParkes Oval.
