The first week of school holidays are almost finished and during this week our vacation care learnt about the traditional owners of these lands- the Wiradjuri people, as well as other Indigenous people as we celebrated NAIDOC week.

We have been getting culturally creative through the exploration of Aboriginal art and the meaning behind indigenous symbols! We have also been taste testing some indigenous foods like kangaroo and emu!

We have lots of creative and exciting activities planned for the rest of the holidays including macramé making, French knitting, hockey skills, a scavenger hunt, physical activities in our huge hall, lots of cooking and FUN!!

These holidays we are also heading to our Cowra PCYC to participate in their Laser tag program and FREEG also known as parkour.

PCYC Parkes' vacation care runs Monday to Friday everyday of the school holidays. Our opening hours will be 8:30am - 5:30pm, with a cost of $40 per day, per child, less any CCB/CCR you are entitled.

If this sounds like something your child/ren would be interested in, please give Katie Spence a call at the PCYC on 6863825 or email parkescc@pcycnsw.org.au
