One Blue Mountains resident or visitor has started the week more than $500,000 richer after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw – they just don’t know it.
The mystery winner holds one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 3857 on July 7. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $503,668.42.
The winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card which means NSW Lotteries officials have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, officials eagerly wait for them to come forward to confirm the prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Blackheath Newsagency, 245 Great Western Highway, Blackheath.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said Blue Mountains’ newest division one winner could be walking around with a winning ticket in their pocket and not even know it.
“There are over 500,000 reasons why Saturday Lotto players around the Blue Mountains should check their tickets. Imagine how your plans for the week may change once you discover you are now a $500,000 richer,” he said.
“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the division one winner we’re searching for, but if you purchased an unregistered entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance.
“We’re urging all Saturday Lotto players to check their entries as soon as possible and if you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket to contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
Mr Hart also reminded players of the importance of registering their entries.
“It is really important that you register your entries to a Players Club card so that we can contact you directly with the good news in the case of a win.”
The six winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3857 on Saturday, 7 July 2018 were 29, 1, 6, 43, 23 and 18. The supplementary numbers were 3 and 35.
