Hogan claims top spot in Saturday medal

Margaret Hogan handled last Saturday’s very cold conditions better than the rest of the field to claim the Central West Glass July monthly medal.

Margaret scored 75 nett in the very tough conditions to win.

She required a countback to see off Kaye Jones who also finished with 75 nett.

One stroke further back was Lyn Davison with 76 nett while Helen Clark and Glynis Conroy both finished with 77 nett.

In claiming the medal, Margaret also took out the putting competition sponsored by Kaye Jones.

In the nearest the pins, Helen Clark claimed the prize on both the 1st and 4th (sponsored by Kaye Jones and Parkes Pharmacy).

Kaye Jones was nearest on the 6th hole (Telescope Tyres) while Margaret Hogan was closest on the 15th (Railway Hotel).

Central West Glass also sponsored last Wednesday’s Golf NSW medal.

The event was won by Helen Clark with 73 nett.

Helen also claimed the putting competition sponsored by Kaye Jones.

Glynis Conroy finished a shot further back on 74 nett, while Ann  Berkeley (75) and Frankie Cock (76) rounded out the prize winners.

Colleen Staples claimed both the 1st (Macquarie Alarms) and 6th (Parkes Leagues Club) hole nearest the pins.

Margaret Hogan was nearest on the 6th (Dunfords Pharmacy).

Sue Holman hit the best tee shot on the 11th (Parkes Services Club).

Glynis Conroy was closest on the 15th (Parkes Caravans).
