THE prediction made earlier this week of weekend snow on Mount Canobolas has been widened by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), with the areas now forecast to receive a white coating including Orange, Blayney, Lithgow and other parts of the Central West.

According to weatherzone.com.au, Sunday morning appears most likely, with the temperature tipped to fall to an icy -1 degrees in the early hours, and not rise beyond 4 degrees for the next 24 hours.
On Monday, the BOM’s MetEye website predicted snow falling on Saturday at Orange’s highest point, as well as in small pockets around Oberon, Jenolan Caves and Yetholme.
While snow isn’t forecast for Parkes, temperatures will drop to one degrees on Sunday, with frosts expected on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Early mornings from Saturday until Wednesday are predicted to be between a minimum of three and one degrees.
But the days and maximum temperatures between these days aren’t looking too bad, with a maximum of 12 degrees on Saturday, 10 on Sunday, 11 on Monday and 15 and 16 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
