Walk-up performers are most welcome to come and join in.
Barry is a member and longtime supporter of the Parkes and District Country Music Association although these days probably better known for his Elvis performances.
And how did Elvis start his career? That’s right with Gospel and Country.
Our Mother’s Day Muster in May was well attended with a great range of songs from our featured artist Charmaine Pout and walk-ups Chris Gorton (Dubbo), Craig Manderson (Dubbo), Ann Penman (Lyndhurt), Bill Murray (Cowra), Bruce Toole (Forbes), Ken Chalker (Cowra) and Stephen R Cheney (Cowra).
Members and guests very much appreciate these artists from surrounding areas attending and performing at our Musters each month.
Also Joy Rice (Cowra) for looking after the sound equipment with the help of stage manager John De Dobbelaar.
Members enjoy and appreciate their Country Music with several recently attending events and Talent Quests such as the Illabo Stampede, Ardlethan Country Music Festival and the Forbes Country Music Talent Quest, now looking forward to the Macarthur Country Music Talent Quest and the South Coast CMA Country Music Awards.
Arrangements have also been made to travel to an Orana CMA monthly function at the Dubbo RSL by bus on Sunday, June 24.
This should be another great afternoon of entertainment with a variety of performers.
Following on from the Dubbo event will be our annual trip to present a Muster at the Peak Hill Services Club on July 1 and then back to the Starlight Lounge of the Parkes Service Club for our own Muster on July 15.
