Has everyone recovered from Easter and all the (excess) chocolates?
This month we honour all women for their help in looking after others.
Not only mums, but step-mums, sisters, aunts, grandmums, and even cousins!
Thank you, one and all! (Maybe more chocolates this month, too, heh?).
The response we had at the last meeting was very positive about how the tables were set out.
As you note, we are trying it again.
If you have any comments about anything, please say something to a committee member, so we can discuss it.
The Parkes Evening VIEW Club has invited us to join them for their meeting on Tuesday, May 22.
Cost is $27.
The guest speaker will talk about drug addiction – surely a worrisome society problem at this time!
Secretary Pamela has the details.
Another meeting you may be interested in attending will be held at the Forbes Memorial Services Club.
It will be held on June 26, and the cost is $40.
It all has to do with gardening, so if that is your “thing”, think about going.
I am sure that a carload or two could go! Ask secretary Pamela!
This month, we held our social lunch at the Services Club on May 17.
Locals Michelle and John Jelbart were our entertainers.
Now, we all know that our Birthday Month is a few months away.
But what do you think of the theme being, “Teddy Bear’s Picnic”?
Any thoughts? Or other suggestions?
The challenge for this month is:
What was the best advice your mum gave you?
Tell us, and tell us if it really worked for you, too.
