The defending Woodbridge Cup champions fought off the toughest challenge of their premiership defence on Sunday with a 34-24 victory over the Goannas in a top-of-the-table clash at Grenfell.

The Boomers are now the only undefeated side in this year’s Cup after six rounds of the 2018 competition as Adam Hall guides Trundle in its bid for back-to-back titles.

In other games, Manildra ran riot over the Burrangong Bears to the tune of 76-0, lifting Simon Osborne’s Rhinos into second place on 10 points.

The Canowindra Tigers hold down fifth place on eight points after a 50-18 victory over the Condobolin Rams.

While Cargo hosted an 82-point score-athon between the Blue Heelers and the Peak Hill Roosters on Sunday, the hosts running out 56-26 winners in an entertaining match.

A whopping 15 tries were scored as Western Division veteran Steve Lane orchestrated a 34-6 half-time lead for the Blue Heelers, their best display of the season in attack and defence. 

Eugowra Golden Eagles enjoyed the bye to hold down fourth place on the ladder on percentages.

In league tag, Cargo knocked over Peak Hill 58-0 and Grenfell got the job done comfortably over Trundle, 40-0 and remain undefeated leaders after six rounds. 

Manildra won 56–4 over Burrangong and Condobolin scored an 18-14 victory over Canowindra. Eugowra had the bye and sit third on the ladder.

In youth league, Trundle wrapped up an 18-14 win over Canowindra and Peak Hill Roosters scored a late try to snatch a 16-14 victory over Cargo Blue Heeler Pups. Competition leaders Manildra Rhinos had the bye.
