Christine Stait used all of her 30 handicap to good effect last Wednesday to claim a one-point victory in the Lois Godden-sponsored Parkes lady golfers’ stableford competition.

Stait scored a very impressive 42 points on her way to a solid victory.
She was followed by Dawn Wakefield who also compiled a very good round, scoring 41 points.
Dale Matthews was only two shots further back on 39 points.
Next was Glynis Conroy with 35 points.
She was followed by Kaye Jones and Margaret Hogan, both with 34.
Nearest the pins were Colleen Flynn on the 1st (Macquarie Alarms), Dawn Wakefield on the 4th (Parkes Leagues Club), Frankie Cock on the 6th (Dunford’s Pharmacy), Glynis Conroy on the 11th (Parkes Services Club), and Margaret Hogan on the 15th (Brian Collins Smash Repairs).
Liz Matthews was awarded the Lone Pine Contracting Award.
