A grade women

Rovers Black defeated Rovers Gold 3-2 in a quality game of hockey.

Goal-keeping was a highlight in the match with Gracey Denham-Jones and Tash Tanks both having excellent matches.

India Draper scored a double for Black with Rani Ross also scoring.

Alyssa Miller and Louise Edwards converted for Gold.

Best for Black were Gracey Denham-Jones, Jacqui Simpson, India Draper and Denise Gersbach with Tash Tanks and Merryn Unger strong for Gold.

A strong defensive performance led by Cherie Johnstone set the platform for a Magpies victory over Cellar Crows.

Cellars began the match strongly with Lilli Rai Campbell showing plenty of attacking flair up front.

Magpies were sharp with their touches in the circle with goals to Amy Robinson (2), Maggie Wright (2) and Wendy Rix all scoring in their 5-2 victory.

Lilli Rae Campbell and Deb Brown both scored nice goals for Cellars.

Best for Magpies were Cherie Johnstone, Meghan Searl and Emmie Searl with Lilli Rae Campbell and Michelle Roberts both strong for Cellars.

Although short of players, Rovers Black were too strong for Middleton running away with a 7-2 victory.

The Rovers girls displayed slick passing and great team-work in their victory with both Abi Simpson and India Draper scoring hat-tricks and Lara Piercy adding to the total.

Savannah Draper showed plenty of heart never giving up for Middleton and scoring a well-deserved two goals late in the match.

Abi Simpson, India Draper and Lara Piercy were all outstanding for Black in the victory.

A grade men’s

Star Budgies were strong in their 4-1 defeat of Rovers.

Jacob Townsend was in impressive form knocking in 3 goals with Andrew Bourke also converting.

Anthony Lock was the lone goal scorer for Rovers.

Best for Budgies were Jacob Townsend, Cooper Wakeman and Jayden Pusterla with Brendon Roffe playing strongly for Rovers.

B grade women’s

Eagles and Middleton played out a tight 1-1 draw.

Megan Hornery was on the spot to score for Middleton and the one goal lead looked like it would be enough until Jo Besant converted a penalty stroke late in the match to level the scores and force a draw.

Best for Middleton were Bianca McPhee and Sheridan Kirk with Danielle McManus, Kathryn Moore and Jo Besant strong for Eagles.

Magpies Black defeated Marist 3-0 with a nice team performance.

Claire Barber, Bria Constable and Maggie Wright all scored in the victory.

Best for Magpies were Louise Witherow, Bria Constable and Janelle Thompson with Sharon Deen-Moody and Jordan Moody strong for Marist.

Rovers Black defeated Cellar Crows 2-1 in a closely contested match.

Tash Tanks showed her worth as a field player converting both goals for Rovers with Molly Orr scoring for Cellars.

Montana Palazzi was a stand out for Rovers in their win with Molly Orr and Toni Speakman in great form for Cellars.

B grade men’s

Middleton were too strong for Marist with a strong 6-2 victory.

Middleton played a smart team game resulting in goals being shared between Tim Welsh (2), Barry Reeves (2), David Sherritt and Blake Godwin.

Mitch Miles was in nice form in the circle converting two goals for Marist.

Best for Middleton were Mitchell Toole, Tim Welsh, Matt Welsh and Tim Hogan with Liam Moody and Tristan Hanstock strong for Marist.

Rovers Gold worked hard together as a tema to gain a 2-0 victory over Cellars Black.

Declan Daley and Phil Dunford both scored nice goals in the win.

Jacob Chambers was outstanding for Rovers and was well supported by Luke Greenwood and Phil Dunford.

Kane Nutley was a stand-out for Cellars.

Rovers Gorillas defeated Cellars Aqua 4-1.

Anthony Lock scored a double with Brendon Roffe and Riley Thomson also scoring for Gorillas.

Zack Gibson scored for Cellars.

Best for Rovers were Billy Payne and Riley Thomson with Dane Hendry and Reed Cavallaro playing strongly for Cellars.

Magpies White and Magpies Black played out a tight 0-0 draw.

Defence was a highlight with neither side able to capitalise in the circle.

Best for Black were Ryan Dunford, Jackson Plummer and Archie Rix with Jack Skinner, Oliver Brown and Cody Kirk strong for Magpies.
