About 30 members were booked in to attend.
The members spent a bit of time exchanging stories of family and Easter activities (some members told that they had even staged Easter egg hunts!).
General business
The club and its members then held a General Business Meeting, and then two competitions before their luncheon.
The first competition was to see who had the best Easter Bonnet, and it wasn’t me!
Congratulations to Elvie Collins – hers was outstanding!!
Next competition was to see who could do a drawing of an Easter bunny.
Everyone showed their artistic skills, but there was only one winner, of course.
One of the (unbribable) staff of the Aastro Dish Restaurant was the judge, and she found it very challenging to choose the very best of many.
Our Treasurer Wendy Stoker was complimented on her effort of drawing the Bunny, and took home a chocolate one.
The newest member, Pam Harris, who was inducted during the last meeting, was one of the attendees.
She had as much fun as all the rest of us, looking at the Easter Bonnets, drawing Bunnies, and trying some of the chocolate eggs on the tables.
We also planned some of our upcoming activities, such as the May Meeting, with a Mother’s Day theme.
Learning for Life Students
As mentioned before, we have fun while having various activities to raise money for our four Smith Family “Learning for Life” students.
Even part of the price of the luncheon each month goes to this fund!
And we have our raffle of fruit veggies each month that also raises some money.
New members welcome
We would welcome any woman who would like to join us.
Come to the next meeting, and see if VIEW Club would suit you.
Look in the Champion Post adverts page for the details of the next Meeting in May.
Also, you can contact our Secretary Pamela (6863 4552), and she will explain how to book in.
Two of our five values include being: Inclusive and welcoming; plus, diverse and respecting.
Of course, we aim for all of our values each meeting and activity, but these are the first two.
VIEW provides the opportunity for women from all walks of life to meet regularly.
