Irish band from Brisbane the Barleyshakes entertained the growing crowd prior to the parade beginning just after 10.15am.
Among those who took part in this year’s parade were Deputy Prime Minister and Federal Member for the Riverina Michael McCormack, State Member for Orange Phil Donato, Parkes councillors George Pratt and Barbara Newton, Irish dancers from one of Australia’s leading Irish dance schools in Sydney Halloran School, Aboriginal dancers from Peak Hill and circus performers from Zany Yare.
