A 36-year-old Parkes man has been charged with common assault and two counts of intimidation after a number of work related incidents last Thursday.

The Parkes Shire Council employee’s position was terminated in the morning after an incident with a fellow employee.
Around 3.20pm the man returned to the Parkes Shire Council chambers and made a number of threats to his former supervisor.
He was asked to leave the building, which he did, and police were contacted.
Later that afternoon he was arrested and charged.
He was refused bail by police on Thursday to appear in Parkes Local Court on Friday where he was also refused bail.
He will appear in Parkes Local Court via audio video link today.

A 17-year-old Parkes boy was arrested and charged on Sunday after he broke another boys nose in two places in a fight in Phillip Street on Friday night.
The victim, also 17, presented to Parkes Hospital and police were called.
The boy was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and use carriage service to menace harass offend after he phoned and threatened the victim on Sunday.

Unknown offenders smashed the front window of a house in Hill Street on Saturday afternoon.
The resident left the house for half an hour and when they returned the window was broken.
