Every February, our VIEW Club has two meetings on the same day, before the luncheon is served: the AGM, and then the General Business Meeting.

As part of this, the incoming Committee is welcomed and then badged, this time by VIEW Club Zone Councillor Therese Welsh.
Therese also took the time to talk about the four area VIEW Clubs in this area Zone’s work to sponsor school children in the Smith Family “Learning for Life” Program.
Truly inspiring, how all VIEW Clubs in Australia are helping school children whose families are struggling financially.
We are kept in touch with our four “Learning for Life” school children, but we don’t know their full names, their schools, or town, or state.
They write and have forwarded letters and drawings for us to look at.
In turn, we are able to have forwarded to them greeting cards and letters, plus gift cards (for birthdays, etc).
Each month (except January), the Day VIEW Club meets, and has a general meeting, a luncheon, plus, offers support and friendship for women (by the way, this is part of one of our stated purposes).
One of our money-making activities is a twice yearly Trivia Night.
We are planning our first Trivia Night, to be held Tuesday, March 13, at the Parkes Bowling and Sports Club, 7pm for 7:30pm.
Besides a great, homemade supper being served, the $10 entry price will also include winners getting handfuls of chocolate.
All monies go to sponsor our four schoolchildren in the “Learning for Life” Program.
Everyone in the community is welcome!
More info about this will be in a March edition of the Champion Post.
We use the Champion Post to keep our community informed about the Day VIEW Club activities.
Trivia Night is always fun, and we look forward to the fun and games that are designed by our favourite Quiz Master, Charlie Pecenka.
Members also are looking forward to the interesting guest speakers that will be part of each month’s Meetings. Of course, we also celebrate our Club Birthday (in September) and Christmas in December.
Our Vision is: Women creating and leading a more inclusive Australian society.
And we plan our Meetings with this in mind.
