Welcome to another ‘Around the PCYC’ with Parkes PCYC Club manager Tim.

It’s the exciting time of the year where we are all flat out getting ready for Christmas and New Year celebrations!

During this time is the five week school holiday period for which we provide our vacation care service.

We will be running our service from Monday, December 18 until Thursday, December 21.

We will then reopen on Tuesday, January 2.

Our opening hours will be 8:30am - 5:30pm, with a cost of $40 per day, per child, less any CCB/CCR you are entitled.

We have plenty of fun and develop mentally appropriate activities, planned for each child to create their own learning experience, whether it is from the planned activities or child-lead.

We also provide parents and carers with a personalised daily dairy of what your child has achieved and participated in during their day in care.

Some of our days have already booked out, I do encourage you to book as soon as possible as our places are filling quite quickly for this period!

PCYC Parkes has only one spot left for our Safer Drivers Course.

The course is running this Friday from 4pm.

The course involves two modules. The first is a three hour education session on how to manage risks on the road.

The second is a two hour practical in car coaching session.

The course represents 20 hours credit in the learner's logbook.

The aim of the program is to help reduce the likelihood of young drivers hurting themselves or others on the road.

Our next Safer Drivers Course will run January 5 from 10am.

To book for vacation care or our Safer Drivers Course head to PCYC Parkes Facebook page or contact the club on 6862 3825
