The preschool children had a fantastic day as they listened to the Welcome to Country from Central School students Jada and Cooper, and participated in a singalong by Councillor Neil Westcott.
After the formalities were over the children were off to play on the jumping castle, have air brushed tattoos done, listen to a story by local the librarians and explore the local fire engine, each having a go at using the fire hose to knock down the witch’s hat.
There were also some craft activities and each child had their name added to a giant kangaroo or emu which will be placed at the local Neighbourhood Hub at Peak Hill.
Picnic blankets were laid out for lunch and the children enjoyed a delicious sausage sizzle for lunch at the park.
