Brad Scott has made a fantastic return to competition at Parkes Golf Club with a comprehensive victory in last Saturday’s Scott and Kath Mann Carpet Cleaning October monthly medal.

Scott fired a very impressive 75 off the stick for a 67 nett to claim the A grade monthly medal double sponsored by A.A. Blatch Automotive.

Ron Hetherington matched Scott’s heroics with an equally impressive 78 scratch for the best handicap of score of the day, 65 nett, to claim the B grade double.

Tony Evans was a surprise winner of the C grade scratch medal when he shot 90 while Warren Blatch claimed the handicap medal with 68 nett.

Ian Phipps took out the Griffins Leading Edge putting competition after only using the flat stick 26 times.

Pro voucher winners included Charlie Allen and Brian Hogan Jnr with 66 nett.

They were followed by Phil Bishop, Todd Jayet, and Kenneth Giddings all on 68 nett.

Rod Luyt led a group of players on 69 nett including Peter Boschman, Brian Hogan Snr, Tom Medcalf and Paul Thomas.

Mick Smith and Tim Baker were the last of the award winners on 70 nett.

Riall Harrison got his day off to a great start by taking out the nearest the pin on the Idlerite-Tyrepower 1st hole after his tee shot finished 480cm from the pin.

Paul Thomas was closest on the Griffins Leading Edge 4th hole, hitting his tee shot to 482cm.

Steve Simpson hit a great shot into the Dirt Doctor Landscaping 6th hole, putting for birdie from 108cm.

On the Harvey Norman 11th hole, Paul Thomas would have been putting for birdie from 220cm if not for a small infringement.

It was still good enough to win the nearest the pin and take out the money hole award.

Dub Rodgers hit a solid shot into the Westlime 15th hole, finishing 600cm from the flag.

Brendan Chambers hit his second shot into the Parkes Readymixed Concrete 9th hole to only 450cm.

Brad Scott finished his day with a very good birdie by hitting his approach shot into the PJL Group 18th hole.

Scott’s second shot finished only 83cm from the cup.
